Villa Linudd
This summer trip was made on foot, because we are lucky to live nearby the beautiful Villa Linudd. Inside the villa, built in 1859, locates a lovely Tarvaspää Cafe Zoceria.
A brief presentation of the villa's history, found on the trays, delighted this textile designer with its detail: The name "Linudd" comes from how the people living in there used to soak linen on the shore.
Unfortunately, during this visit, we didn't have time to see the Gallen-Kallela museum, the Tarvaspää atelier designed by the artist Akseli Gallen-Kallela next door.
The atmosphere of Tarvaspää Cafe Zoceria is idyllic. The large windows make the space bright, and you can admire the scenery in every direction. Old carpets and wooden surfaces make the feeling warm and cozy. I can also recommend the café for food and drinks as the only downside was the difficulty of choosing!
