Pompom pattern family

The Pompom pattern collection is available for licensing through my design agent Patternsfrom Agency. The collection consists of three patterns: A floral design Pompom along with two abstract patterns named Hula and Karnevaali.

The Pompom pattern got its name from the middle parts of the flowers that look like cheerleading pompoms. It is a Scandinavian-styled floral design with a retro, hippie-happy mood added to it. The original sketch was a part of the Brooklyn Art Library’s Sketchbook collection (sadly the project has been shut down).

The Hula pattern has round shapes that follow hand-drawn lines instead of strict symmetry. This adds softness and playfulness to the feel of the pattern. The name of the pattern, Hula, comes from the combination of the round shapes on the base and the loops (hoops) formed on the surface. The original sketch for the pattern is made with paper cutting.

The Karnevaali pattern is formed of horizontal and vertical lines. It is a simple, yet strong abstract design based on a sketch made of woven paper strips. The pattern can be altered a lot with the number of colors used or by changing the scale.

Since all these designs are finished with vector graphics, the colors and scale can be easily adjusted. Don’t hesitate to ask me if you like the patterns and want to know how it would work with your technique & products!
