Peony love

As I was pondering the flower choice for the next illustration, I asked my spouse's sister if she had any favorites. She sent the lovely picture of peonies below, and the decision was made!

In addition to aesthetics, I’m also fascinated by the meanings associated with flowers. According to the British online florist Bloom & Wild, pink peonies are symbolic of happiness and success. Their season is relatively short; otherwise, they would probably be even more popular as festive and gift flowers. Peonies are truly magnificent, both as giant buds and as large, layered blooms!
